Life opens up opportunities to you and you either take them or you stay afraid of taking them.

Welcome to another “First Blog Entry". Brief as it may be, I must say that it is quite important being that it marks the beginning of something great in my life. I’ve always felt the need to be structured and well thought out when it came to things like this.
Turns out… I was wrong.
So, starting here, I'll be writing about pretty much everything that is or has been going on in my life in no particular order. Feel free to read it.
Where i’m at
In the past year I’ve gone from cleaning toilets to washing dishes to wiping the butts of the elderly. But as of recent, I have started working for an organization that I could easily see myself spending the rest of my life with.
That organization is a faith based recovery program known as Adult & Teen Challenge. More specifically, Minnesota Adult & Teen Challenge. The team that I've been connected with is a solid group. One with a united passion to see the clients that enter the program succeed, not only in achieving sobriety, but in taking the first steps into a Christ-centered lifestyle. I can tell already that the position that I’ve taken on will be one that stretches me and I am more than okay with that. I am just extremely grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the team!
Speaking of things that I am grateful for, there is an amazing young lady in my life! She's beautiful and loving and kind of a big deal. Don’t tell her, but I am seriously thinking about asking her “the question”. You know… the big one. I’ll keep you posted on that.
More importantly, she has a dog. His name is Denver and he is an adorably annoying black lab that I can’t wait to spend the rest of his life with. We are pretty much best friends. Kate is ridiculously jealous. Oh, by the way, the pretty lady's name is Kate.
Anyway, other than work, church and the occasional streaming binge, my life is going to be consisting of reading, writing, podcasting and vlogging! I am pretty excited to see where all of it goes. Feel free to stick around and find out!
